White Bay Bicycle Works

White Bay Bicycle Works is the name used by Balmain Bicycle Mechanic for its restored and individually prepared bicycles. These carefully selected bicycles are restored and rebuilt in our Rozelle workshop.

Each bicycle is considered individually, with the aim of preserving its character while returning it to reliable, enjoyable use.

The Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum restoration tiers indicate the depth and scope of the restoration undertaken.

The restoration tier does not determine the retail price. Each completed bicycle is individually priced according to the bicycle itself, its specification, condition and rarity, and the extent of the work undertaken.

Restoration Tiers

Bronze — PRESERVE
Complete mechanical overhaul focused on preserving the bicycle and its existing components wherever they remain serviceable.

Silver — RENEW
Complete mechanical overhaul together with meaningful renewal of worn or age-sensitive components.

Gold — REBUILD
Extensive mechanical and component rebuild, with substantial renewal as required to achieve a cohesive mechanical and aesthetic result.

Platinum — TRANSFORM
Our most comprehensive restoration tier, combining a complete mechanical rebuild with significant aesthetic restoration or transformation.

Sold bicycles remain displayed as part of the White Bay Bicycle Works archive, documenting previously completed restorations and builds.
